The 1983 VF400F was the first full sales year of Honda's 400 cc V4 naked bike and was unchanged from its late-1982 launch. The smooth 16-valve V4 revved past 11,000 rpm, and the chassis combined a 16-inch front wheel, TRAC anti-dive and Pro-Link rear suspension, a sporty mix for the busy Japanese 400 class.
